Throughout his life, Roger Filgate was surrounded by music. His mother was a classical concert pianist who taught him how to play. His older brother Jim helped him learn to play guitar. “Because everyone in my family played an instrument, I learned many styles: rock, blues, classical, bluegrass, folk, jazz — you name it, we had it,” the now-established guitarist says.
