Vincent Jackson’s contract stalemate with the San Diego Chargers took a turn Friday. Yahoo! Sports reports that the team has given the Seattle Seahawks permission to discuss a deal with the holdout wide receiver. Jackson, 27, a restricted free agent who faces a three-game suspension when he begins his season, is believed to be seeking a long-term deal. The Chargers have balked at his demands, and he has refused to sign his one-year tender. The Chargers have cut their original tender to the bone, creating further friction between the sides.
